Summary
Hesperidin is a flavanone glycoside found in citrus fruits, such as oranges, lemons or pummelo fruits, it acts as an antioxidant according to in vitro studies. In basic research, it has biological effects such as cholesterol reduction, blood pressure reduction. Hesperidin and its synthetic derivative diosmin, components of the drug Daflon, can have a conservative role against the symptoms of varicose veins.
